Joanne Gardner came to Montana in 2005 after ten years as Senior Vice President, Music Video Production at Sony Music where she oversaw videos for Beyonce, Ricky Martin, Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, Will Smith and hundreds more. Previously, she had been an award winning video producer and director at ACME Pictures with partner Rosanne Cash, worked for NARAS in the President’s Office, and worked in the film business in Nashville for many years. She produced the first Red Ants Pants Music Festival, the Paradise Valley Music Festival and co-created the Hoot with her husband John Lowell, officially becoming Mrs. Lowell in 2017.
John Lowell has been involved in the music business for the past 40 years as a world wide professional touring musician, producer, recording artist/engineer, songwriter, instructor and even worked as purchaser for Gibson guitars in Bozeman, MT. A love of the outdoors has kept him happily living his life in southwestern Montana while expanding his career in the music industry. In 2014 he teamed up with his then fiancée Joanne Gardner to create the Livingston Hoot.
John Lowell and Joanne Gardner Lowell started Mighty Fine Time to produce large-scale music events. In addition to the Livingston Hoot, which was a finalist for the Governor’s Tourism Event of the Year in 2015 and 2016, they produced An Evening at the Arch, Yellowstone Celebrates the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service in Gardiner, MT in 2016.
